Last week I was on a wonderful ten-day retreat with the London Buddhist Centre, six days of which was silent.

The teachings inspired me to enter new territory — going beyond ‘secular’ mindfulness to talk about the Buddha and ethics.

I think there’s a danger with secular mindfulness that the focus is on stress reduction, and just coping with life, rather than having a greater sense of meaning and purpose.

Hence the topic of this week’s vlog:

Why you’re dissatisfied with life, and what you can do about it (according to the Buddha).

This week, I’ve also done an audio version, so you could listen to it on the way to or from work, in case you prefer that: http://bit.ly/2smfjVO
